I've identified the issue; there are a couple of database fields that were removed from the users table in the transition from phpBB 3.0.x to 3.1.x. I'll post an update real-soon-now!

v1.3.0 of the phpBB interface has been submitted to the plugins area for approval. This version properly creates phpBB user accounts for phpBB versions 3.0.11-3.0.14 and 3.1.1-3.1.4.

This is perfect for something I have been wanting to implement.

Just one question .... what happens with the existing members in Zen-Cart? Does the install transfer all these to phpBB please?

Ok ... thank you ... so the best way is just to get existing members to change their password in Zen-Cart then?

Oh ... just another thought. If existing members create a phpBB forum account using exactly the same details as in ZC ... would any changes to ZC in the future find that phpBB account and link them?

I'll need to review that procedure to see, but I think that the nickname -- if not entered during account-creation -- cannot be entered after-the-fact.

Ah right. I haven't got round to doing the installs yet so I'm assuming the add-on provides option for a phpBB Nickname then? We're a small group at the moment so if that is the case it is not a problem for admins to contact members and add a Nickname at our end ... will go ahead with phpBB install and have a play and let you know what we find.
