Modules are missing in admin area

Hi,

I am currently working on a new cart and went to change shipping and payment in moduels, but anything listed in modules is missing comes up with server error. Is there an easy way to restore this part or am I starting again?

Probably no need to start again.

I've never heard of this error with a new install before, so I'm guessing that you've installed one or more shipping/payment modules that are not part of the ZenCart distribution package. If you know what modules these were try removing them and re-adding them one at a time until you find the file causing the problem.

Also check the file/folder permissions. Many servers will produce a generic server error if the permissions have been set too lax. (specifically, when set to '777')

If neither of these apply, please supply more info.

Hi,

When I say a new install i don't mean brand new install just a new install. It has been ongoing for a few months. Have been sorting layout and stock bits, Now I have gone to modules and what ever I click on from there (payments, shipping or order totals) it says 500 internet server error

Many thanks for taking the time to anser. You were right, Windows in its wisdom had changed all the file permissions to 777. Sorry I should have checked this first,

No need to apologize for asking for help. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Neither of us knew what to check first, and permissions was my second guess :)
