"Units in Stock" on Certain Cats Only?

Is it possible to have the "Units in Stock" display only on certain categories? 98% of my site is unlimited stock and I don't want or need the "Units in Stock" to show on those products. I only need it displayed on one category of products. Is that possible?

When I tuned on "Units in Stock" so that the one category could be limited, all of my other unlimited stock that has been set to zero (since they are all digital downloads) now show as "0 Units in Stock" and "Sold Out".

You can always customize the tpl_product_info_display.php based on conditions ...

I *think* I just came up with a solution and I hope it will work. All of my products are under "Product - General" with the quantity in stock turned off and the category that I needed to be limited, I put in "Product - Free Shipping" with the quantity in stock turned on. Should that work? It appears to look right on the site. All of my products are digital so everything is already free shipping.

Should work ... just do not mark your Download Products as Always Free Shipping ... as that will mess things up on orders with Products ...
