German Language Pack for ZC version 1.5.x

Great thanks, super fast reply. I thought it was in my poor configuration.

I now see HTML email.

Only remaining problem is it now uses the German default template not the email_checkout - & the default for every other type (English is OK)
I searched through all the support possibilities but they all say just "copy all email templates from /emails to /emails/de"
Did I miss doing something standard?

Sure

For example, when Zencart sends a "Bestellbestätigung Bestellnummer" email instead of using the "email_template_checkout" it uses the HTML "email_template_default" which does not give the customer anything useful; see example below.
Same for the welcome email uses the default HTML template which gives all the info but loses the nice formatting.

I have currently deleted the "email_template_default" in email/de so the customer gets the text version email which has full information but loses the nice formatting.

Example checkout email content;

Bestellbestätigung Bestellnummer 1027
$EMAIL_MESSAGE_HTML

Followed by the usual copyright & footer stuff.

BTW; I know it is the default template being used because I wrote a number in each template & the number 3 was in the email I received; which meant default.

Just did 2 test orders, one in English and one in German, both order confirmation emails showing up here in perfect HTML formatting. So I believe that your issue is definitely not related to the German language pack.

Just checked your emails; everything perfect as you write.
I tried again & HTML checkout email now works correctly for me too.

Thanks for your time & fast responses; sorry to send you off on a wild goose chase. Maybe something needed to be refreshed somewhere; I did reboot my PC several times; perhaps it was something to do with the server?
Nothing to do with your German language pack as you said.

I am very happy - but I think I will go lie quietly in a corner now :)

Hi there.
I'm very new to ZenCart (1.5.1) and having trouble to set um the German Language Pack 1.5.0
After installing all files an reference the new language in AdminPanel I tryed to choose this via the pulldown menu. Btw.: an also installed russian Pack works fine.
But after switching to german I recieve a blank page. I'm only able to step back via BrowserButtons an choose english again.
The shop is mentioned to russion people in germany so I need both packs.

In the downloadpage (http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=205) I found:

Inside the pack there in no file like the described.

A blank page can result from a bad (corrupted) file upload. I suggest you obtain a fresh copy of the pack and reinstall it. To date this pack had almost 1000 downloads and no blank page has ever been reported here.

Don't take any notice of this, it is a legacy from a former pack which was written for ZC 1.3.5 by the original author hugo13. Only follow the instructions contained within the latest pack.

Submitted an update to this pack today.

The update reflects all the changes up to ZC version 1.5.3.

Most of the changes / additions occur in the admin section, only very few changes in the catalog files.

I let you know here when the update is available for download.
