Default GoDaddy OneClick Install in SubDirectory Renders Shipping URL site.comhttps/index.ph

OK here's the deal (I'm pretty sure it's a pathing issue) but Godaddy's support is a total joke so I'm hoping someone brilliant here can help me.

I did the old one click install for Zen Cart on a Windows Server and installed it into a subdirectory called "WebStore".

So my path should be to the effect of https://mysite.com/WebStore/

(I have a valid ssl cert that I have been using for years and is still active.)

So here's where things get funky. After I add my item to the cart when I click on the, "go to checkout" button, my browser gets redirected to:
    https://mysite.comhttps/index.php?ma...ckout_shipping

Enter the wild and crazy issue where in the url above the com and https meld together forming comhttps.

So at first I thought it was a pathing issue... but to make sure I took a cruise through the file structure to see if there was in fact an https directory (which would make sense as if there was I'd be looking at a missed slash somewhere in my config file... well there isn't). The fact that my subdirectory is truncated leads me to believe something else is happening, like one of my base urls from the config file getting concatenated with another filepath?

So without pulling the /index.php?main_page=shopping_cart page apart I was wondering if anyone else has seen this and if they would be so kind as to point me in the right direction.

    I am on 1.5.1 & I have the Authorize.net AIM plugin enabled.

    Thanks in advance!
    R

I have narrowed it down to this function:
    zen_href_link(FILENAME_CHECKOUT_SHIPPING, '', 'SSL')

    in file: \includes\templates\template_default\templates\tpl_shopping_cart_default.php
    line: 132

Here are your three MAJOR and CRITICAL MISTAKES so far:-

    1. You are using GoDaddy... NOT a good idea. They are not suitable for eCommerce hosting, and if you intend to run a serious online business then you will abandon that company as quickly as possible, and go find a proper host. Believe me... "cheap" becomes very expensive in eCommerce... a bad host can cost you more than money. They can cost you your whole business.

    2. NEVER use "1-click" installs on sophisticated programmes like zencart. Use a manual install.

    3. Do not tinker with php files unless you know what you are doing. SSL is governed by DEFINE rules in the two configure.php files.

    Code:
I have narrowed it down to this function:
    zen_href_link(FILENAME_CHECKOUT_SHIPPING, '', 'SSL')
That has nothing to do with the issue... The problem is probably in your configure.php file(s)

You've misconfigured the settings for SSL. Or your server isn't properly detecting SSL mode.

Start with properly configuring SSL in your /includes/configure.php file.

I am new to the whole E-Comm, so why is Godaddy not a good place to do E-comm?? Is it because of the server's they use,
    or just over all?

    Thank you for your time.

They are improving, but in the past they've often seriously over-sold their servers (too many customers on each server) so badly that if the site wasn't just serving up simple .html pages it would be abysmally slow. And, since Zen Cart uses a combination of PHP scripts plus database content to dynamically build pages, it requires more CPU horsepower than a site that only displays a few .html files.

They've been improving with speed and performance quite a lot in the last year, so there's hope that they'll continue becoming more and more usable for dynamically-driven sites.
