In that case, I still see the same syntax error message from when I tested PHP 5.4. (Thanks for the info, DrByte.)
PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '{' in /.../store/includes/functions/password_funcs.php on line 102

Is it still dated last week?

Sorry ... I cut it off. No, it was today when I tested it under 5.4:
[10-Feb-2013 13:29:22] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '{' in /.../store/includes/functions/password_funcs.php on line 102
Thanks,

I set-up a completely new store by copying the install files into a test domain. I copied the two configure files from my old store (changing to the new test domain, as well as the database (copy of live database). The store ran fine under 5.2, but did the same thing when I tried to sign-in to admin on 5.4. I could not find anything that looked like errors in the \log file.
Thanks,
Ray
Did you try using zc_install to install a fresh clean database using demo products instead of a copy of your live database? Trying to rule out your database.

No, but I can do that. (If it's my database, it's all 4 of them, as all 4 stores do it. One is about 6 months old, but was converted from 1.3.9 to 1.5.1.)
Thanks,
Ray
I'm having trouble replicating your symptoms on PHP 5.4

In an earlier post, you suggested a length change. I updated the test database with that, as well as the code change. It didn't help.
I then re-installed using the re-install database option and specified all the parms (so even the configure.php files are new). The only thing I have put on there is the .htaccess file and the phpinfo.php file (so I can see the version). The test domain is pannys.net/store. It works on 5.2, but not on 5.4. I didn't see anything unusual in the logs. There was a session log in the \cache folder. I set you up a password if you want to see it. I can PM you with the domain and pass info -- just let me know when you want to see 5.2 and when you want 5.4 so I can change the .htaccess file.
Thanks for your help. I don't mean to be a pain, but I am absolutely lost.

A little more info, possibly: While there's nothing in the test store's \cache folder, the main store has 2 errors from the time I was testing 5.4: [10-Feb-2013 17:42:01] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '{' in /.../store/includes/functions/password_funcs.php on line 102.
Thanks,

Ray, could you post the contents of your admin's /includes/configure.php file (without the sensitive database information)? It might help, too.
Are you running your admin in SSL? Do you have an SSL certificate or are you using the 1and1 shared SSL?
