I have disabled all banners, yet banners still appear

I have read the FAQ and search the forum... no help. Here is my problem. I have gone to "Banner Manager" and turned off all banners... yet two banners remain visible on my home page. These appear to be default banners associated to the template I am using. Please help me to figure out how to turn these off! Thanks!

If you meant the 50% off banner and it is not activated via banner manage, I would suggest that you contact the person who created your template.

You can do a quick fix by replacing the image emeralda_banner1.jpg with one of your choice. Just name your image to the same name.

It seems silly to me that they would build a template that requires that much user involvement.

Where/who did you get your template from? post a linkplease so we can compare or even find a user/install guide.

As a last resort, I can effectively remove those two images from your site. It would mean replacing the two images with a renamed clear dot image (similar to the trans_pixel.gif) but in .jpg format.

If you would like to try that while you are searching for the correct resolution, just click on my website and choose "Contact Us". I will rename 2 such images and forward them so that you can replace the large images with a 1 pixel (invisible) image.

Again, this is not the preferred fix but it will work.

I got the templates from zen-cart-power.net/zen-cart-free-templates.html
.. but I already replaced the.jpg with something else as an interim solution.

I have one more question.. when you hover over my new JPEGs.. there are messages there from the old images. They say: "Discover your savings" and "free shipping". Which file do these "live" in, and is it as simple as removing them to stop these hover messages? Thanks!
