Error on Define Pages Editor

I am the admin and I keep getting this error whenever I try to change any of the pages on the Define Pages Editor
"Error: I can not write to this file. Please set the right user permissions on: /home/a130684/public_html/includes/languages/english/html_includes/define_page_2.php"

Where and how do I set up permissions? Or what could be the problem?


I am new at this and I'm not sure what to do.

Well... why are you trying to edit "Page 2"... ?

Usually, these pages are RE-NAMED before they are used.

However, the files are not currently WRITEABLE (meaning that people trying to CHANGE it over the internet are not being allowed to, because the files' PERMISSION SETTINGS are too strict).

If you do not know how to CHANGE the permissions, then ask your webhost to quickly do it for you - it takes a couple of seconds.

Also, from your post, I see that you are not using a CUSTOM TEMPLATE (the server path tells me that).

You should really install a CUSTOM TEMPLATE before you edit the define pages.

Where and how do I set up permissions?

Use your FTP client
AFind the file and normally right click on it and check "properties"
Set to permissions that allow writing - this varies from host to host
