Help to add a GTIN field to our Google Feed

Hi all,

We have come to the conclusion that adding GTIN information to our Google feed may help us to increase our Google Shopping standing, however this presents something of an issue....I've no idea how!! As a complete beginner with all things Zen Cart I am learning on the fly somewhat, and unfortunately the people who set up our site/Google feed are no longer available to help! If anyone could give me any advise I'd appreciate it greatly. I'm sure there is likely to be further information you will need to be able to assist us, in which case just let me know what and I'll do my best ot find it.

If you are using ZenCart v138a - You need to upgrade on your schedule
Before you are hacked and have to also do a site cleanup in addition to an upgrade

We did look into upgrading before but were advised that the benefits would not outweigh the issues in implemeting it due to the number of plug-ins etc on our site. However we were not aware of any security issues related to not upgrading! Could you possibly explain a little what these issues are as we may need to re-look at whether to upgrade.

1.3.8 has several security vulnerabilities that were addressed with the issue of 1.3.9.

The latest 1.3.x version is 1.3.9h and you should at least upgrade to that version. Most modules should still be compatible with that version.

1.5.x was launched to meet additional security requirements for PCI compliance and some substantial changes to the way the admin section works were introduced.

1.5 also required many modules to be upgraded to meet the new admin setup. A lot of modules have been upgraded.

But moving to 1.3.9h should be an immediate action on your part.

Install new version in a folder like "upgrade" or the like

Follow upgrade instructions/tutorials

The site looks good - and I can't see that it has been "overloaded" with complex modules. Upgrading should be relatively straight-forward... BUT... one would have to have sight of the server and files before a proper assessment can be made.
