Add image

Hi , could someone help please? I would like to know how to add an image
on the left and right side of the home page. Thanks

This should get you started ...

admin panel/ tools/ define pages editor/ click drop down box to define_main_page.php 

insert this code please, this will add a picture to the left side, which you will duplicate for the left to ...

<img hspace="7" align="left" src="images/XXXXXXXXXXXXX.jpg" alt="Tom's Book" /></a> 

The XXXXXXXX above is your image name.
Use your ftp program and place this image in the root/ images

Maybe it's because we're the ones looking at this upside down, but could you explain a little better where you need an image.

Are you wanting one OUTSIDE the confines of the left and right columns? In other words, the space between the left side of the browser to the left side of the cart.

If so, are you wanting a different image on either side or the same image to create a background?

I recommend to use the zencart banner manager

how to use zencart banner to show images or info on the home page;

1:tool-banner manager-new banner
note:write a new Banner Group name for “Banner Group” such as “mybannerone”;
you can either upload a image for “Images:” or write some codes for “Html Text:”
the second one would not show the counter values for “displays/clicks”;

2. Set the banner location using the /confuration/layout settings.
write the new banner group ‘s name to where you wish it to display
Banner Display Groups – Header Position 1
Banner Display Groups – Header Position 2
Banner Display Groups – Header Position 3
Banner Display Groups – Footer Position 1
Banner Display Groups – Footer Position 2
Banner Display Groups – Footer Position 3
Banner Display Groups – Side Box banner_box
Banner Display Groups – Side Box banner_box2
Banner Display Groups – Side Box banner_box_all
such as write “mybannerone” to Banner Display Groups – Footer Position 1,
then the banner will show at the bottom of home page

note:if you write it to Side Box banner_box,Side Box banner_box2,Side Box banner_box_all you need to go to tool-layout boxes controller to open them;

Hi,
I would like to add two different images on each side. Underneath "categories" ( left side) on the home page there is some empty space .in the middle of the page I have some pictures and on the right side under the Paypal image there is also an empty section.

Is this a bit clearer? Thanks
