Space between left layout column and right content column

Hello, I have a site that has 3 columns, the left sideboxes are enabled, right sideboxes are as well. My problem is that all the content in the main content area is smashed right up againsed the right layout boxes without any space. How can I add space or "margin" in between?

I only have a local copy I hope this makes sense but basically the right side of the layout boxes is right up against the content of the site, I would like the bump the content of the site over to the right a bit so it isn't right up against the left side boxes.

If you use FIREFOX with FIREBUG plugin, you can do "off-line" analysis of the displayed page - including revelation of the CSS elements, ID's and Classes in the displayed "page".

Then you can make offline adjustments to the CSS, committing your edits to the live CSS file when you are happy with the result.

Thanks I figured it was something with CSS. So using the developer tool it appears like <td id="navColumnOne" class="columnLeft" style="width: 190px"> is the column that has everthing smashed up against it. If i add padding to the right should this move things over?

The sidebars have defined widths, and padding or margins will often push other elements out of place. Probably better to add padding or margin to the left side of the center content column, which just expands flexibly to fill what is left between the sidebars.
