red flag Urgent PayPal problem - old customers can see the module new customers can't

PayPal payment choice only shows up for old customers ones who logged in before one of the email addresses was changed on the site and needed to be changed in the shopping cart. The address attached to the PayPal account. Now the PayPal payment module only shows up if you are an old customer.

The new customers see nothing. This is the Standard module which works just fine for the old customers but refuses to even show on the site for the new customers. Where is the problem? What do I fix?

This was an inherited site from an old version of Zen Cart and it has been upgraded to the 1.3.9h version for some time now and was working fine until about month ago now. I do not believe that express checkout worked with our shipping choices.

There's nothing in any of the PayPal modules which limits their availability to "old" vs "new" customers.

Maybe you've got a zone assigned to it, and your "new" customers are outside that zone restriction?
Otherwise it sounds like you've got custom code added to the module to make it visible to only a certain audience.

AFTER COMPARING Old and New Customers in the Database

The dob got turned off for the newer customers and they are the ones that could NOT see PayPal widget.

All the old customers had a date of birth. Turning on the dob fixed the problem.

Very odd, since nothing in the PayPal code has anything to do with DOB. Sounds like you've got a number of other contributing issues that you should also sort out.
