No subfolder in the images upload to directory drop down

I am trying to add more products in some categories, but where it asks me to upload an image, and when I go to the drop down: Upload to Directory, there are no sub folders in the drop down list, that I want it to go into. I have made all sub folders and such. But it copy's it to just the image folder and not the images/subfolder. Thanks
