I don't often make this suggestion but...
Your forum join date suggests that you are new to Zen Cart.
I don't see any evidence that you are updating from a previous version in any of your posts.
You state that you are using the latest version of 1.5.1
<assumptions>
You are not familiar with some of the terminology we use which may or may not be a language barrier.
You have so many mods you've thrown at your site, that it's impossible to sort it out through the forum.
You've never given us a list of answers to the posting tips so we have no idea just how many mods you have added to your site without thorough testing. The assumption is that you have loaded several that perform or modify a similar function.
</assumption>
IMHO, I would:
- Start over with a fresh install of 1.5.1 (including the demo products) without using any automated installation software or file.
- Find a template you like (avoid all paid templates as most don't work), install it, and test it thoroughly.
- If you need to have more than one language on the site, do so now and test the demo products and all other cart functions with the installed languages.
- Decide what shipping and payment methods you will use and install them. TEST THOROUGHLY
- Check to see if any of the bug fixes should be applied by looking at http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...s)-with-v1-5-1
- Add categories and products to your site. Since you have the cart "ready" for products, you now have a cart that can sell products and can open it for business without having to do more than turn off the demo items.
At this point you have a working store that can sell products.
Next:
- Make a backup of your database and site files.
- Create a folder on your site called _testSite.
- Copy the original site's files to _testSite.
- Create a new database like YOUR_ORIGINAL_DATABASE_NAME_test (Where YOUR_ORIGINAL_DATABASE_NAME is the database name in your main site) so you won't confuse the two. Use the same password as the original.
- Change the includes/configure.php and YOUR_ADMIN/includes/configure.php files to show /_testSite and/or YOUR_ORIGINAL_DATABASE_NAME_test where needed. This will make sure that the test site is looking ONLY at itself and its database (the one with _test on the end).
- TEST, TEST, TEST to make sure your test copy is working.
You now have a store where folks can shop and a _testSite where you can test add-ons ONE by ONE to see if they work with your setup.
- Make a list of the add-ons that you MUST have. The "nice ones" can wait till later.
- Check the list against known mods that WILL work with 1.5.1 at http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...n-Zen-Cart-1-5.
- Download the latest version of a working copy from the Plugins section.
- Search the forum for a support thread for the mod and look at all posts made since the release date of the mod. Often times, you'll find VERY valuable information that will prevent a botched install of the mod. There are also times when the author has found a fix for a problem but has not yet uploaded a corrected version of the mod.
- Install the mod and TEST, TEST, TEST.
- TEST again!
- If it didn't work, consult the forum once again to decide whether to start over or just to not use the mod.
- If it worked, do a complete backup of the _testSite and its database and save them in a folder called modTest_###### where ###### is the name of the mod. ( I add a date just for my old memory so mine would look like modTest_######_5_7_2013) This will help you as a step-by-step fail-safe during the modification process.Repeat steps 1 thru 8 above with the next mod on the list
- Repeat these steps with the next most important mod on your list.
At some point, you will have a _testSite that has all the mods you want (and WORK) installed, tested and working.
The final step is to take _testSite back to the main store directory to take over for the basic site. IMHO, those steps are a ways off for you yet.
The best part is what you will learn along the way AND the huge reduction of frustration.
We'll be here to help along the way.
