Copying attributes - can I copy prices?

In my learning phase, not sure if I have understood copying attributes
Can I copy a set of attributes to another product or category and keep its action
Example.
product A has 3 attributes.
Have made attributes for product and set up there values
1 size a=$1.00
2 size b=$2.00
3 size c=$3.00
When I copy the attribute across to another product or category it loses the action: Meaning it
doesn't carry the 1 2 or $3.00 action to the next product.
The Attribute is there but the $1 value doesn't come through on the shop site.
