DO NOT GO BREAKING FEATURES IN THE ADMIN WITH YOUR CUSTOMIZATIONS!!!!

If you're going to create other themes, they should be able to be used on ANY site, regardless of which features ANY storeowner might want, regardless of whether you want those features or not.

Hacking up the PHP code is going to make it VERY difficult for other storeowners to merge other mods and to do upgrades.

If someone wants to turn off the Music menu, they can uncheck the box in their admin menu Profile settings.

Actually you have a valid point and for that reason I'll leave it alone. I might still re-arrange the way things appear without removing things.
