Cant add photos to product

Ok everything has been working ok but now every time I add a new product and pick the image I wanna add it just goes to the next screen and the not image box is seen and the image I picked is not there at all whats going on my zencart ver is up to date

What is the image name?

Where are you adding it to?

Is the directory writable?

Image name is h50052.jpg but it will not let me add any new image to a product I'm using godaddy for the host


Ok I'm using the /images that's where it is saved I can FTP in and see delete add so looks like its writable
I'm not sure if this answers all your questions
Just FTP in and I can upload a image to the dir

Check the permissions on that directory via your FTP program and see if they are set to 777 or 755 ...

If you FTP the image to /images can you see it via your browser?

When I add product I do it through zencart and the image too

If you FTP an image to the /images directory, can you then see it in the browser if you go to that URL:
your_domain.com/images/your_filename.ext

If you set the image via your Zen Cart Admin, even if you see the no picture image, if you look via phpMyAdmin at the table:
products

what is in the field:
products_image

If you add a new Product and set the image, even if you get the no image picture ... what happens if you then Edit that Product ... do you see anything about the image? If you try to add the image on the Edit, do you get the image?

Called Godaddy and asked them about it took 30 mins on the phone but the guy says it was on there end and it Effected just about everyone I'm still not sure what the problem was but it took thematic few hours to fix it anyway thanks for your help

Glad to hear that you resolved the issue as a problem with your hosting provider ...

If there might be a way to give them a poke and find out what the problem really was it would be very kind of you to post back their response ...

It's apparently not related to your issue, but others with this issue might be running into a godaddy limitation of something like 1024 images in a folder. I don't know for sure if that would be a hard limit (as in more images will not go into a folder) or a rules limit where they can scold or penalize you if you do exceed the limit. I have seen posts from godaddy (I think) customers who have been told they have too many images and they have to fix it.
