Default subfolder (in images folder) on ftp don't show, but are there.

    Hi,
    i have a strange problem.

    I've made a few subfolders in zen/images
they show up in zen admin when i add products,
but i can't find them on the ftp remote anymore.
I added others with a different name and they show fine.
i tried several times, with the result..
I have like 6 "hidden" folders, and 6 that show fine.
(the hidden folders I named.. photos-ABC, photos-DEF, ect.
the ones that show are named.. img-ABC, img-DEF)

how can i find and remove those 'hidden files'??
on ftp server, i have clicked on "show hidden files"... still
can't see them, but when i try to make a new folder with the same
name it tells me it already excists.

I hope someone can answer this !
    thanks in advance..

    Janet

What ftp program is being used?

When I use the webftp for one site, I am unable to get to the logs directory even though it obviously exists. I can programatically access it (display logs plugin) and with other ftp programs, but not the webftp (more than likely some "security" protection setup by the host... )

    FYI.

webFTP isn't a real FTP client. It is a Web client. It uses the HTTP protocol rather than the FTP protocol, therefore it is subject to any Web related rules and policies (unlike FTP that has similar, but DIFFERENT policies).

The most toublesome of the Web related policies is due to the apache mod_security module.

Thanks for the why. I use it as a "last resort". Prone to too many things going wrong. System response makes sense though for that one... Not sure about the above... Refresh of the screen?

How many image files do you have in the main images directory? Most hosts will truncate the output to something between 2000 and 10000 matches. If your threshold is set to 2000, and you have 2500 images in the directory, you will only see the first 2000 files and the directories will not even show...
