Default Client Changed Password, Now Can't Access Database

Against my better judgment, I removed my special Admin User login when my client told me he wanted to take over maintaining the entire website himself. He did a pretty good job, until the first time it forced him to change his password. Now he's forgotten his password, and can't get back in. I can't get in, either, to help him. Is there a way to do this without having to rebuild the entire zencart?

    Thank you!!

You could try one (or more) of the suggestions in this FAQ: http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?...28i-lost-it%29

None of those options worked...fortunately my husband is a database whiz, so I was able to have him take a look at it. He finally figured out that your code snippet is wrong...it should be zen_admin, not just admin. Then he was able to add a new username/password...and now I'm in. I added a separate superuser and will tell my client NOT to mess with it, so that if he ever screws things up again, I can go in and fix it.

Thanks for pointing us in the right direction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone told me to read this article and fix whatever is wrong with the documentation.

Apparently he didn't read the whole article. Actually, not even the first 3rd of the article.
Your site's database table-prefix is obviously set to "zen_" (chosen by whomever installed it initially, and described in your configure.php file), thus in your case you needed to add the "zen_" prefix to the SQL.
The article talks directly about it:
NOTE: If you are using a prefix for your database tables, you'll naturally need to add that prefix to the table name above.
ie. "DELETE FROM prefix_admin ... " and "INSERT INTO prefix_admin ..." ... replacing "prefix_" with your actual tablename prefix.
    Glad he figured it out.
    But the documentation/article isn't wrong.

I read it, but I'm just a lowly web designer, not a programmer, so it didn't make any sense to me. LOL He didn't read it, he just went into the sql screen and started pulling up reports. Once he realized that the snippet needed modifying, he did, and it worked.
