Have you upgraded from v1.3.9? If so, it sounds like your Admin files are out of date ...

strip_tags was used in v1.3.9, but not in v1.5 ...

You may wish to compare you files on the server with v1.5 and see where things are out of date ...

Another check, is to go to the Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ... and in the bottom input box enter:
strip_tags

and select Admin and click SEARCH ... you should not be seeing any files found ...

I just looked up the bug report history on this and found it reported by ray-the-otter on Sept 18, 2012 ... and I posted the fix that same day:

The fix was rolled into v1.5.1, but you're still using v1.5.0.
