Default CKEditor menu buttons not working

My hosting service just migrated my site to a new server. Java also just updated to the latest version on PC where I work on ZenCart. Now when I try to use any screen with the CK editor, the buttons are all gray. Some still work, but none of the drop down menus, like the one to add a picture, have any content, just an outline of a box with "OK" and "Cancel" at the bottom.

I tried using the editor on another PC, that wasn't upgraded to the latest Java, and it was a little better. The drop down boxes seemed to work, but the menu buttons were black instead of gray, and more of them worked.

I hate when two things happen at once, but both were out of my control.

I don't know if the hosting service changed the PHP, Apache, Perl or other supporting SW. They say they didn't.

I reloaded the latest version of CKEditor. (actually I renamed the old version, and did a complete reload)

Is anyone else experiencing this problem, especially those hosted by "Hostgator?"

Does CKEditor use JAVA at all, anyway? Any idea where I should start looking?

No. It doesn't use Java for anything.

Java and JavaScript are entirely unrelated.

Think it could be PHP version, apache version, etc?

It could be a number of things.

You'll need to figure out what images it's trying to load and get the browser to tell you why it's not loading them.

You're into a research project about CSS and Javascript with your browser's Developer Tools.

Have you checked the problem on all browsers?

I'll refer you to post #4 of this thread. You're not going to find a better source for a Zen Cart answer. Especially since it's his mod.

When you are in the editor, hitting F12 on most browsers will take you to some diagnostic tools that should let you know (as DrByte said) which images are not loading and that info can help you search out if they are in fact present.

You don't state the version of ZC that you are using, so I hope you used the correct file to load ckeditor. There are four folders listed but only the editors folder and the specific admin folder for your version is used.
