Pre-fill edit address & edit shipping forms

Editing billing & shipping addresses requires entering all the data. In other words, although the current address appears on the page, the form fields are empty.

How can I modify this so the fields are populated with the current address info, so customers don't need to renter correct info?

You could do this with javascript but there's no option that I know of in the admin or anything, so if you don't know javascript you might find it difficult
