Default Price item by attribute picked

I didnt see this covered if it was sorry

I want to have the price of an item change based on the size picked. I can set up size as an attribute but not sure if there is a way to change the price based on it.
I want to have small, med large custom items at different prices.

Also how big a description of each attribute can i put?

    for example "Size Small 5" X 8.75" X .75" "

    thanks as always Dave

You can set the product as 'Priced By Attribute' in the product setup page and set the main price to 0.00.

It appears that the limit of the option name (in the database) is 32 characters.

So in the FAQs there is this:

    http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?...to-my-products

With the price on the product page set as zero, as stevesh said, this part of the instructions will give the price alongside the attribute you create:

'+ and blank will add the attribute price'

You can change the allowed no. of characters, in the database - although I would suggest there's a learning curve to go through if you haven't edited one before. I have some of my attribute fields at 512 characters, but then I've got HTML code in mine. No doubt the increase will affect database access time, so it's best to go for just what you need.
