Trying to make New Products on Home Page static/stay on page

Hi all,

I'm relatively new to Zencart- I've been able to figure out a lot from reading the forums, however i cannot seem to find an answer to this issue I'm having. On my home/index page, I want the new products to show on the page always without having to click the "New" button first. Is there a way to accomplish this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks for your reply. I have "show new products on main page" already set to 1 and it does show up on my home page, however it shows up as a menu bar of sorts where you have to click the "new" button in order for a drop down to pop up and show the items. I want to eliminate this step and simply have the products displayed without the user having to click on new in order to see the items. Do you know what file I would change the code in to have that effect?

You have a non-standard template that is using a JavaScript to present the New Items. This change will require quite a bit of manipulating. Bristol Lace is designed is designed to have a quick swap between New, Featured, and Specials. If you are not going to have those three and only New, you might want to revert back to the standard main page layout.

You should also checkout the support thread for this template. Like most of the Picaflor add-ons (as well as most others), the place to start is looking for a support thread.

Gotcha thanks for explaining that. I will post on the support thread to see if there is a way to disable the feature.
