How to Install UPS United Parcel Service Plugin by Ajeh?

I am trying to get UPS shipping to work with Zen Cart.

I found the plug in in the subject line as recommended and have downloaded it. I am not sure where to place the files or how to install. I know enough to be dangerous.

I appreciate any help - am new to Zen Cart.

I am using Version 1.5.1 with a third party template.

Using your FTP program, drag and drop the 'includes' folder from the plugin to the root (top) directory of your store. All the files and folders will end up in the proper places. That's it.

I installed the UPS module by Ajeh but do not see any window to insert a UPS account number. Does this addon require another addon to collect this information and transmit it to UPS or do I miss something?

I don't think the standard UPS module allows you to access your special account terms. The mod named UPS XML may, though I haven't used it.

Usually when you need that UPS account number to get rates and such I do recommend the UPS XML, as there isn't anything for account reference in the regular UPS shipping module that I have posted.

I do not use the UPS XML much other than to see that rates can change for those who have accounts with UPS and it appears to be enough of a change that those I have told to use UPS XML appear happier ...

Thank you for the reply. I will install the XML addon to see what we will be getting from UPS. Integrating the FedEx module and FedEx website was challenging. We could not receive accurate quotes from FedEx for all items and services.

Also, UPS right now has a promotion with 20% off for every new account. This could be a gimmick to get some business, but I would like to check it out in comparison with FedEx before any decision with whom to proceed is made.
