    Default problems with upgrade

    Help, over the weekend my webhost did an upgrade to the v15.1 and now I have nothing I can login to my home page
    but I have no categories, no products, no customers orders listed, nothing My web host said he went by the zen cart instructions for installation and know I have this he is trying to resolve the problem He wrote to zen cart for help
    but so far nothing. My customers are starting to get irate. can any one help with the problem.

    Hopefully you or they backed up your site before attempting this - the files and the database

    If they followed the recommended procedure they would have installed the new version in a folder - leaving your current shop intact

    Could you go into your phpMyAdmin and look at the structure of your database ...

    You will see something similar to the image that I attached here ...

    Notice how each one has a number under the column labeled ROWS

    Find the tables:
    categories
    categories_description

    products
    products_description

    products_to_categories

    orders
    orders_products


    and say how many ROWS you have in each ...

    Next, Browse the table:
    products

    Do they all have a value greater than 0 in the field:
    master_categories_id

    More or less I am just trying to ascertain just how badly your database might be goobered up ...

    NOTE: having that backup as kobra mentioned would really be of help if things are really looking grim ...
