Why prevent spiders from crawling Contact Us?

Hey,

I've noticed that the default setup of ZC prevents bots from crawling Contact Us. I assume the logic is to keep the Contact Us form at a lower profile, thus reduce form spam?

That doesn't seem to be terribly effective, at least for me. Bad spiders do what they want anyway (I saw Elvira giving one a spanking yesterday), right?

I am considering altering the robot text to allow the crawling of that page. Can somebody talk me out of it by explaining why that would be foolish?

Reason: so that it doesn't dilute page rank or "link juice". Same reason it doesn't index shippinginfo
