    red flag Missing Products after upgrade

    Hi all,

    Please can somebody help me out.

    I have upgraded and imported all of the products into the new database, and all the images into the images folder, but when I click in admin>categories, and then go to look at the products, there isn't any there.
    Same happens on site itself....the categories have counts next to them but they don't have products in?

    have I missed something?

    Peek in phpMyAdmin at your database ...

    1 browsing the table:
    products

    do all Products have:
    master_categories_id
    product_type

    2 Browsing the table:
    products_description

    do you have the same number of Products as in the table:
    products

    3 browsing the table:
    products_to_categories

    are all of the fields for:
    products_id
    categories_id

    set to valid Products in the table:
    products

    and set to valid Categories in the table:
    categories

    Also take a look at you language id's, in the language table and in your product/category tables, to see if they match up

    529 in products....530 in products_to_categories

    Is there an easy way to find the missing one please?

    Thanks for that.....do you mean utf8_general_ci in the db table structure?

    Apparently 2, but I only know that by the yellow dot next to the category in admin as the products don't show, even though the categories have product counts in admin and front end

    When you say you imported the Products from your old site to the new database ... how did you do that?

    By importing the table data.....copied the sql and inserted the old data into the new products table. I had a dangling carrot mod thing as well so I made a field in the new table to accommodate the products_carrot field, imported data, then deleted the field, as I don't use the mod anymore
