Default Database upgrade only ..zc install has static buttons and are not permitting the upgr

I had to go to the zc_install/main page=inspect (inspect function is only function that works and returned the system status page correctly with no errors) and zc_install/mainpage=database_upgrade directly for page to appear and the buttons on upgrade do not function at all (static)
Zen cart upgrade from 1.3.9,to 1.5.1
All other issues are good to go on patched folders and were successful.
The zc_install doesnt want to function even though the pages are present in the browser
URL is http:// marine reef aquatics.com/zc_install
I will donate a cup of java to ZC if someone resolves issue.
Linux server, PHP 5.4, 1.3.9 to 1.5.1 db upgrade only required ..all cart functions are fine from patching folder.
    Please advise thank you!

Updated info to help resolve my db upgrade issue:
All configure incl. dist-configure in both store and admin files have been updated with my specific server/db/domain and with 1.5.1 folders...
Here are the 2 zc install links:
    http://www.marine reef aquatics.com/zc_install/?main_page=database_upgrade and
    http://www.marine reef aquatics.com/zc_install/?main_page=inspect
posted for verification of system spec & requirements and all good to go( curl isn't applicable to zc website so this setting was ignored since my curl is enable on my host server). Still no luck after reconfiguring and double checking all configure folders...same static buttons on db upgrade.

    Thanks again!

In you url, the index. php is missing, this is the case on your whole site.
It should for instance read index.php?main_page=database_upgrade

Take a peek at: Why am I getting 500 INTERNAL SERVER errors?.

Basically there is something amiss with the uploaded files or server configuration (global or in a .htaccess file). To find the "error" you will most likely need to take a look at the webserver / php error logs. Your hosting provider should be able to assist you in finding / accessing the error logs for their webserver (and may need to enable error logging as some providers disable error logging).

The information in those logs is vital to helping determine the cause of HTTP 500 / Internal Server errors.
The glass is not half full. The glass is not half empty. The glass is simply too big!
Where are the Zen Cart Debug Logs? Where are the HTTP 500 / Server Error Logs?

So I asked for help from professional zencart installers online and got this email from http://zencart4me.com

    Hello John,

You can't do that. You can't upgrade from 1.39

1.5xx REQUIRES a total new install John.

Have you been handling this yourself? So far what I see is a mess.

Been doing this for 15 years and I am telling you that what you got is nothing but problems and nothing stable no matter what you do

Hmmm. I think you are a candidate for my services.

You can call me if you wish.

    Update on my progress
I have now installed a CLEAN NEW INSTALL OF ZC 1.5.1 ...my issue now is how on earth do I change the sql database structure in myphpadmin in order to import it compatiblly to the new store install???? Because the old structure isn't flying if you know what I mean. I can import it into the new zen cart 1.5.1 store but it's incompatible with the new store... Please state line by line or link where I can find instructions to successfully import my sql db from 1.3.9 to the new store 1.5.1. I think I've clearly stated my issue and would deeply appreciate some EXPERT feedback! Thank you.
