    Default template monster define main page no longer active

    Hi

    I purchased and installed atemplate from template monster recently (theme product code 46175
    )

    I would like to use the define page editor to specify the main page but this function does not work
    The index/home page is:
    http://www.baitworks.co.uk/zensportstemplateDec2013/

    when I go to the Define Pages Editor, for the main page the address is:
    public_html/zensportstemplateDec2013/includes/languages/english/html_includes/theme746/define_main_page.php

    other pages :
    public_html/zensportstemplateDec2013/includes/languages/english/html_includes/define_about_us.php

    please can anyone help?

    thanks

    Derek

    Help with what, exactly? It appears that the geniuses at Template Monster copied define_main_page.php into the override folder for the template, but not the other files. What is it you can't do that you want to do ?

    Hi Stevesh - thanks for the reply

    I want the home page to look like:
    http://www.baitworks.co.uk/zensports...age=page&id=11

    and not:
    http://www.baitworks.co.uk/zensports...ain_page=index

    I am used to using define page editor to specify the main page but this function does not work

    The Define Page Editor does work on template-specific versions of define pages, so /includes/languages/english/html_includes/theme746/define_main_page.php should work correctly, and affect the define_main_page for that template only.

    So how does it "not work"? Does it act like it is saving, but the changes don't show up? If you reopen it in the editor, do previous edits remain in the file?

    thanks for your response

    when I open main page in the define pages editor, the address is:
    Editing file:
    /home/wwwbait/public_html/zensportstemplateDec2013/includes/languages/english/html_includes/theme746/define_main_page.php

    and the previously saved html code is still present
    this code can be seen:
    http://www.baitworks.co.uk/zensports...age=page&id=11
    where I have set up an EZ page on the home section of the header menu

    the home page:
    http://www.baitworks.co.uk/zensports...ain_page=index
    has not got this content

    thanks

    Derek

    - If you open

    /home/wwwbait/public_html/zensportstemplateDec2013/includes/languages/english/html_includes/theme746/define_main_page.php

    in a text editor is there any text present

    - In includes/filenames.php do you have

    define('FILENAME_DEFINE_MAIN_PAGE', 'define_main_page');

    ?

    YES - the main page content I want on the home page

    define('FILENAME_DEFINE_MAIN_PAGE', 'define_main_page');

    YES I have : define('FILENAME_DEFINE_MAIN_PAGE', 'define_main_page');

    I don't suppose Admin>Configuration>Define Page Status>>Define Main Page Status is set to zero?

    Otherwise I'm not sure.

    I think I had something similar happen to me but for the life of me I can't remember why?

    Perhaps try

    Delete the template define_main_page at

    /home/wwwbait/public_html/zensportstemplateDec2013/includes/languages/english/html_includes/theme746/define_main_page.php

    so that it defaults to /home/wwwbait/public_html/zensportstemplateDec2013/includes/languages/english/html_includes/define_main_page.php

    and see if that has any effect.

    My final thought is to compare your code to the original Zencart file set in includes\modules\pages\index\header_php.php

    around line 43 where it calls FILENAME_DEFINE_MAIN_PAGE
