Default Number of letters in the Product heading

    Hi smart people,

Where can I change the amount of letters I can use for my product headings please.
I've had a look in Layout setting 'Best sellers - truncate product names' and there a line there that allows 35. I've changed that to 40, but it doesn't seem to be the one I need to change.
I need to be able to put a full breed name in - English Staffordshire Bull Terrier - 34 letters. At the moment, I'm 2 letters short.

Anyone got an idea where I change it?

Do you mean the product name ? If so, you should be able to use 64 characters. If you're taliking about the category name, that's limited to 32 characters in the database. You'll need to change that using phpMyAdmin.

Thanks Steve. Does that apply to the sub Category name as well?
Scratch that. Probably does, otherwise I'd be able to get those last 2 letters in.
Thanks for the reply. Appreciate the help.
Don't think I'm game to fiddle with the database.
