Include product URL in invoice

Hello I am running zen cart v1.5.1, i require my invoices to include the product URL. This due to the fact i have items that are very similar and the product name can not be used to identify the product. I should have put the part number in the model field but as i have over 1000 products this would be very time consuming. a simple work around would be to provide the URL in the invoice so i can then load the product to view the part number.

I have tried the following solution posted here, but no success due to older version.

How can this be achieved in the latest version ?

Although not exactly what you are asking for, I find this mod to be a great addition to help identify the actual products ordered.

Thanks for the suggestion RodG I'll try that out .

For anyone else who gets the same issue . My work around was to install the easy populate plugin and put the relevant codes in the correct fields . I put the part number in the model field . This enables me to identify the products .

It would be nice to include a link tho .

Unless your link would only appear in a printed version of the invoice, absolute paths (containing http:) are a problem in the admin if you are using SSL.

A relative path should be an option using the variables created in the configure.php files.

It's possible to put a 'search for product' link so the address would point at your site and perform a search instead of a static link as dbltoe mentioned.

Never mentioned static and would never recommend a static URL. This is, after all, a database driven cart.

There are established constants for directories and using them in php to create an absolute or relative URL is NOT static.

Again, with a choice between absolute or relative, the latter should always win out.
