Terms and Conditions checkbox on contact us page (anti-spam)

Hi,

I was wondering whether there is a way to include the terms and conditions checkbox that can be enabled through admin for the checkout procedure on the contact us page?

I have been looking at alternatives to the dreaded captcha. At the moment I have Google Captcha on the site but it is awfull. A simple "Are you A Spammer" sort of idea would be much better if it was implemented using javascript as this would make it nearly impossible for auto-submissions.

If there was a way to implement terms and conditions on the contact page without the need to enable it through admin that would be a great help. Even better would be to have purpose written code that would work with the ZC format for email submissions. Any ideas? If someone has got some coding that they could offer then I suggest the possiblity of uploading it as a pluggin as I am sure that it would benefit many people.

v1.5.1 already includes a "hidden" field to help in reducing your spam on the contact_us page.

Don't get me wrong but if there is a hidden field would that not still require someone to fill it in? Otherwise, what would be the point in having a hidden field that a manual input was not required?

It's a hidden field so that spam-bots, which like to fill in every field in a form, fill the field out. If the (hidden) field contains a value other than its default, you've got a big clue that it's a spammer filling it out so the message is not sent.

Well unfortunately it doesn't work. I have tried now with different installations of 1.5.1 and both get spammed. I will be looking at a simple spam trap as the built in one is not effective enough(not for me anyway). I am also getting fake spam accounts being set up which is quite annoying. I have put the Google Captcha on my site for the moment but I have found a site that gives some code to help prevent this. It must be a known issue. For anyone with the same problem this is the link:
