Admin login page redirect

I am moving from zen cart to a different cart. I will for obvious reasons still need to access my zen cart admin for a while. I can access the site and the backend login by using my server name instead of my domain name. I noticed that when I login from login.php, zen cart automatically switched from http://myservername/admin/login.php to http://mydomainname/admin/index.php. Obviously once I change my DNS to point to the new host, if it redirects in this fashion it could cause a problem. Is there a setting for this? Will I be unable to access my admin once I change the DNS?

Maybe editing the 2 configure.php files to use myservername instead of mydomainname will solve your problem!

just for my interest, why are you changing carts?
