Postal api updates, do i need to do anything?

I have enclosed the email I received concerning a soon-to-be update. Do I need to do anything with Zen to accommodate this change?

January 26 USPS Web Tools Update: USPS Web Tools will be implementing changes and additional features to the U.S. Postal Service APIs listed below effective January 26, 2014 with testing available January 13th. Detailed release notes are available on the USPS Web Tools home page here.

If you are a merchant using a 3rd party ecommerce or shipping software, please ensure that your IT professional is aware of the upcoming changes.

The following APIs will be modified and/or enhanced beginning January 26:
Domestic Label Retired APIs:
• DeliveryConfirmationPICV3
• SignatureConfirmationPICV3

Rate API Updates:
• RateV3 API
• RateV4 API
• InternationalRateV2 API

Domestic Label API Updates:
• ExpressMailLabel API
• HoldforPickupExpress Label API
• eVS Label API
• DeliveryConfirmation V2, V3, V4 APIs
• SignatureConfirmation V3, V4 APIs
• Priority Mail Open and Distribute API (OpenDistributePriorityV2)
• Priority Mail Hold for Pickup API (HoldForPickupPriority)
• First Class Mail Hold for Pickup API (HoldForPickupFirstClass)
• Merchandise Return Service API (MerchandiseReturnV2,V3, V4)

International Label API Updates
• Priority Mail Express International Label API (ExpressMainIntl)

Sometimes that new software won't work until the day of change and sometimes the old software will stop working at the same time. So may have a small window of not being able to accurately process USPS information. The update is usually easy and quick. The process probably could be automated to occur at a given date/time.

There will be an update and it will be released next week for testing ...

I would like to release it sooner, but I am finding changes on the USPS test server are still happening and I prefer wait a few more days before releasing the updated USPS January 27, 2014 module for testing and then final release ...

Cool! Thanks, Linda. We know from painful experience last July that it's likely to change up until the 11th hour (literally). <sigh> You
are wise to wait until it gets at least somewhat stable. We'll be around for testing next weekend (again- LOL!) I sure hope the USPS
finalizes it earlier in the week this time, though.
