What is the url in the link?
Did you do a manual install or a one click method from your hosting account?

Among other things, this will let you install Zen Cart in the root of your domain, so customers don't have to type onesmotor.com/ZenCart/ but just onesmotor.com. There is seldom a good reason to have your moneymaking installation in a subfolder.
I guess I'll contact my host to see what's going on with php. Typical Linux - nothing's easy
This has nothing to do with it being Linux. It has more to do with the one click installers and how your host has configured their servers. Windows Zencart users generally have a much tougher time than Linux zencart users.
The other thing is, ZenCart is neither Windows or Linux. It is a PHP web based application so knowledge or experience with either operating system is a moot point.
Over time you will come across many 'problems' with using eCommerce software, and to solve these issues the one of the 1st things you need to learn where to place 'blame'. Sometimes the causes will be the eCommerce software itself, sometimes it will be server related, but most of the time it will be user error.
It is a steep learning curve, but one of the best things you can do for yourself is perform a manual installation. You will learn some valuable and essential lessons from doing this. Lessons that will save you a LOT of time and headaches in the longer term.
Cheers
