adding second line to shipping module text title

I too am thankful for you folks making the update to the usps shipping module, which I just installed.
(I donate once a year-ish to show that appreciation :)

Anyway, during the update, I tested and noticed a problem. I'm using flat rate clones to allow for some alternative shipping options with minimums. The verbiage I added needs to go to a second line, ie, a carriage return, but it just runs off the screen into other text on a single line. How can I force a break in that verbiage. I'll show below to clarify.

Within that define, add one or more <br /> statements to "break" that line.

I tried, it doesn't work. The info after the break disappears. for example, below, all the wording after <br /> goes away and isn't visible to the customer. ???

This may work for you in bold:
