Trying to offer quantity discounts to wholesale customers only

Hi all,

I've been searching the forums for a while now. Thanks to the forum and the plugins I have been able to get the dual pricing in place, add extra customer fields to the customers profile, and get quantity discounts in place. What I have been unable to find a way of doing either on my own or through searching the forums is getting the quantity discounts to work only for whole customers.

Has anyone been successful in doing this at all?

Appreciate the help mucho! Being somewhat new to Zen Cart, the choices to install and the instructions are a bit overwhelming for me. Should I install all modules you have in the package? I have tried to read through your rtf and it looks like I need to add the SQL fields manually rather than importing a prefabbed SQL statement like a lot of other plugins have. Is that correct? The .rtf included a lot of coding instruction. I also have to assume that those coding changes are actually handled in the .php files that will be copied into the directories when I do the FTP upload. Correct?

The install instructions are written in a step by step fashion to ensure novice and advanced developers can install the code correctly in a stock site or a heavily modified cart.

The SQL statements are NOT available in one drop in file.

The files should NEVER be uploaded as is into your site, ALWAYS merge them.

If you're a novice, follow the steps and you'll only need to upload the 'new' files, for the other files - you will perform the merge manually.

If you're advanced, follow the steps, you'll learn something along the way. The files are a great reference for upgrades, comparison and future development.

If that all fails, there's the forum for help, or my email address :)

Thanks Twitch. I am stepping through it today. Will let you know how it goes. Got confused by all the different places where there were instructions in the package and wanted to be sure I had the right instructions before proceeding.
