USPS Module not working with Paypal Express Checkout

Am in production mode with USPS module. Have installed Paypal Express Checkout. All seems to be working. I have green buttons in admin on both.

In the checkout shopping cart window, when I click "estimate shipping" button, it gives me all the USPS options with one of the options in boldface (I guess this is the best option that will be used unless customer says otherwise?) But when I click "Check out with Paypal" next to the "estimate shipping" button, it goes to paypal payment with no shipping charges added.

Can someone help me?

One more issue....

When I log in as a customer, and click checkout, the USPS module appears to be activated, showing me shipping options, but regardless of how many items I put in the cart, the shipping options list shown has the same rates on them...with the first item starting with legal flat rate envelope at 5.25. I was thinking the options would change based on weight of items in the cart?

yes, I'm using Jan 26th.

Had a weird episode calling USPS. First rep said he put me from test to production mode, but he hadn't. Second rep I called an hour later said she put me in production mode and all APIs are on.

It seems to be working fine for me, regardless of which shipping method I use ...

Can you post what the products_id is that you are testing and what the Ship To is for your test order?

I'm using firefox. I put in one product (I've tried different combinations of products):
Bali Elephant Mask and Costume, item AA72 under African Artifacts -> Masks. Price: $1,500.
Shipping: US, Oregon, 97365

I see the shipping options under "estimate shipping" (and these stay consistent for this state/zip code
regardless of how much weight I put in the cart....like adding 5 more products).

When I click the yellow/orange paypal button, my order summary shows just $1,500 with no shipping added.

What are you seeing that you think that they are matching?

I'm seeing the same figures; thank you for checking. Since 20 and 40 lb packages definitely don't fit in an envelope or a small box, is there a way to only show relevant shipping options for a given weight? (We've given all products a shipping weight.) That is, for the 20 and 40 lb packages, all the envelope and small box options in the above 2 lists should not be made available to the customer. If I were a customer, I'd select the $5.25 shipping charge.

You should only select the shipping methods you actually are going to use ...

Or, in the configuration for the USPS shipping module, set the Maximum Weight for each shipping method that would best represent your products so that heavier things cannot be shipped in smaller containers ...

The USPS quotes are based on weight ...

Neither USPS nor Zen Cart knows what products you have can fit in each package ...

The quotes are solely based on weight ...

If it is more realistic for you to just use:
First Class
Standard Post
Priority
Priority Express

Then only enable those shipping methods ...
