    Default Customer not getting link to download item

    I am using v1.3.9h and have an embroidery design that is downloadable. My customer is not getting the link/information to download the design after Paypal payment. I believe it was working and then I put the item on sale and now it does not.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi.
    I am still having problems with this. The customer paid with no problem, but did not receive a notice with directions to download the item. Under the Orders Tab, I do not see a legend that shows the number of times the customer has downloaded the item. I have a free downloadable that is working just fine. I am stumped.

    OK, I just read another thread and I have a question.

    It reads:
    Check in Admin
    Configuration => Attribute Settings => Downloads Controller Order Status Value >= lower value

    IIRC
    Default = 2 which is processing
    Change to 1 to allow downloads if order status = pending (1)

    I have mine set to Default 2. My free product downloads fine. Should I change my setting to "1"? If I do, will customers be able to download the item before payment is validated? I thought "1" meant payment is being processed and "2" meant payment has been received/validated. I'm confused - - -

    If you're using the default Zen Cart order-status values, then 1 (Pending) means order received, payment pending and 2 (Processing) means order and payment received. For your pay-for patterns, you want the downloads' order status lower-value to be 2 in this case.

    Thank you. You clarified what I thought I am still not sure why my customers are not getting the notification/link to download after payment has been received. I have the green dot, etc. Still hoping someone can give me some help.

    If PayPal hasn't told your store that the payment is received, then the order will be left in (1)-Pending status.
    If that's the case, then you'll need to sort out why your store isn't getting notices from PayPal.

    Is the money IN your paypal account?
    Which paypal module is enabled, and why?

    Hi, DrByte.

    Yes, money is in my paypal account. It is in Processing (2) status.
    I have PayPal Website & Payments Pro (USA) and PayPal Express Checkout enabled.
    Should I have PayPal Website Standard enabled, also?

    Is there a specific order I should follow when setting up a downloadable item to sell?
