Default Getting rid of "add to cart" and just have a "buy" button

I honestly did search for this but all I guess I don't know how to word it.

See attached image. I want to remove "Add to cart: 1" box and just have "add to cart" without quantity. I am only going to have ONE of every item on my website.

    How do I do this?

    Good idea. :)

Its so simple actually. When your adding a product to a page, there's a box that states "Show quantity". Simply - uncheck it.

And btw, in your case, since you plan on always having only one of an item able to be added to the cart, there are a few other things you can do, and one thing you should do.

Can default your product type(s) to always have that check box unchecked when you create a product, and can also force the max of a product to be 1 as a default.

If you only offer one of each product, then you should also force the max quantity to be added to the cart as 1.

Otherwise a customer could add the item once, return to the item and try to add it again. It would appear in the cart as they have two, but then when they try to go to checkout, they would receive a warning if that is also set to appear. If the setting of max 1 is set, then they will receive the warning when adding the product. (A step (or more) sooner).
