Creating a DYNAMIC Product for Phone Orders Which is Edited Each Time we Add to Cart

Basically, what we need is a product that we can change in real-time when we’re taking telephone orders. We need a “BLANK” product which you can add to cart. Then, when you’re adding to cart is would require that these three fields are filled in:

- Quantity

- Price

- Description


So, the product is dynamic and you actually create it’s description, quantity and price every time you add it to your cart.

It would need to work in a way that each time you add to cart it would reset and allow you to add and edit it several times on one session.

If this is possible then there's several cups of coffee in it for the Zen Cart team who can help us :)

This is currently working in Twitch Account$. The 'admin' and 'sales' accounts are allowed to setup 'dynamic' products for themselves or any other existing customer while logged in to the live site.

Thank you, I'll look into your accounts module and see if it's what we need. Basically, if we log in as a customer (in admin or UI) then we need to be able to add "custom" products which don't yet exist, give them a price, a quantity and a detailed description then add to cart. We then need to be able to repeat the same process for other items in the same cart. Will it do this? Will the customer be able to see the detailed items and descriptions in their cart before we hit the confirm order button?

Changing it in real time with a customer watching means you are writing to your own computer memory not theirs. If you log out, Zen Cart will save the shopping cart by default to the database. Then, the customer can only see that stored data if they log out and log back into their account.
