Shipping Error Message upon checkout

If you go to Modules ... Shipping ... and edit the FREE SHIPPING! freeshipper and actually turn it on:

change the setting

Enable Free Shipping
False

to be enabled:

Enable Free Shipping
True

On this Product for Free Shipping, if you go to the Catalog/Products and EDIT this Product ...

Is it marked:

Product is Virtual: No, Shipping Address Required

Always Free Shipping: Yes, Always Free Shipping

Product Weight: 0

Does that make it work properly?

That I am not sure of as I do not know how you have all of your other Products setup ...

In theory, the FREE SHIPPING! freeshipper is only going to show with Products marked as Always Free Shipping YES and as you are not using 0 weight to mean Free Shipping, it should not affect your other Products ...

NOTE: you should also add to your stylesheet.css for your template:

.hiddenField {
  display: none;
}
.visibleField {
  display: inline;
}

and that will clear up the display for the State so you do not have that blank input box when it is not needed ...
