Admin privileges for certain manufacturer

Is there a way to give one user or group of users privileges only to mess with products of certain manufacturer and have no right to do anything to other manfuacturers products?

I believe you'll need to add a restricted admin profile with a custom filter in it to only display one category with associated products within the display.

I assume the purpose is to let the manufacturer put the time into your products instead of you changing them?

actually I use "manufacturer" for some kind of different purpose. I made my shop a showcase with offers from diffrent companies yet they are categorized not by "producer" but by kind of their products. So really I cannot show only one category. But I shall check those restricted admin profiles. So bascialy to new type of restricted admin I can add filters yes?

Without seeing the site it's difficult to narrow down how you'd like to use it but yes the admin profiles are the only place you could make changes to allow other people restricted access to the Zen Cart Admin.
