Different price for different currency? (or language / country)

(Searched this but the previous post was in 2004 and the answer was no. Just want to see if there was any update)

There is a function that allows me to setup currency rate so it will automatically show different price for different currency.

However, the thing I want to do is like:
In currency A, price for product 1 is 10, price for product 2 is 20.
In currency B, price for product 1 is 5, price for product 2 is 15.
In another words, I want to manually setup price of a product in different currency, instead of setting a value and let it automatically convert it.

Anyway we can make this happen?

I don't know of any existing module or code changes that would make this possible.

Although it can be done, there are a number of things that won't make it an easy task. For example, the products tables will probably need new fields added for each currency used, but whoever writes the code/module won't have any way of knowing who is going to use which currencies. It would be impractical to try to add them all.

Perhaps an easier way would be to set up your own 'exchange rate' server, but instead of returning the exchange rates it returns the rates needed to produce your required prices. This method will avoid the need to make any changes to the zencart code itself.

I've developed an on-screen margins calculator to assist with new product pricing that shows pricing levels, cost, list and profit.

If you want to do the work of manually entering in prices... converting them on-screen using the admin - collect_info.php and a simple conversion display code is pretty easy.

It's not pricing automation and it doesn't write anything to the database, on-screen only.

This sounds like an interesting solution. Any idea where/which files to get started? I may want to give it a try and see how it works.
