I have Zen Cart 151 and I would like to put in PayPal Express.
My question is, is there a built-in module that needs to be removed,
and if so where do I find out how to do it.
I can't seem to find the built-in module for PayPal.

Admin > Modules > Payment > PayPal Express Checkout.
It is not turned on by default, and there is nothing you need to remove in order to install it.
You should have 3 PayPal payment modules ... the bottom one reads:
PayPal Express Checkout
If you do not see it, it sounds like you may have extra files in the autoloading directory:
/includes/modules/payment
you cannot have any backup files or files with missing language ...
If you look in your directory on the server for:
/logs
you should see debug logs and their content should state what the problem is ...

If you have to think ... you haven't been zenned ...

I found a paypal folder under includes > modules > payment > paypal.
Does that folder need to be removed before the paypal express is installed.

No, you don't need to remove paypal folders. Seeing that you recently joined the zencart forum, would assume that this is your first zen cart install. (Could be wrong). Simply need to follow the advice provided above to install and then activate paypal. If you are not seeing what is described above, then indicate such. All of the actions described above in tthe first response are performed in the admin screen by logging into your renamed admin directory. (Don't tell the world where that is.) The actions identified by ajeh relate to extra files that may havebeen created by you when working with the folders. It is typically unlikely that those actionswould need to be taken, but is advice that should be followed if there are problems.
Another thing, the "install" isn't exactly like your typical install on a computer, the files are present already, but basically aren't active until that install is performed. ZC then enables the payment option, but there is still additional setup required.

No ... that code is for PayPal so that should be left alone ...
You should be controlling what Payment Modules are installed in your Zen Cart Admin and go to the Modules ... Payment ...
There you will see all of the Payment Modules ...
Click on:
PayPal Express
and on the right panel click Install ...
NOTE: If you have any other PayPal modules installed, you will need to remove those first ...
NOTE: you could read the FAQs and a search on PayPal will give you a lot of information on it, such as:
