payment processing time limit - time outs

Suddenly my client is getting orders through his store that DO process through his processor, but do NOT make it back to the store admin. Not every order, maybe a one a day. His processor said to raise the time out limit on how long we have to get the information back to the store, but I don't remember that being an option anywhere. Is there someone where I can increase the time limit? I don't see anything in the payment admin or module file.

Who is the processor ? If it's Paypal Standard (IPN), switch to Paypal Express.

Oh sorry, it is authorize.net - doesn't that mean it is something in his control panel in Authorize.net he has to change? Or is there something in the store?

In other words, here is the note I'm getting from my client: "Called the processor again. They claim it is a function that should be on the Zen side. They cart is timing out before the info gets sent to the website on some orders, 3 times so far today. Please let me know if Zen Cart comes back with a way to give more time (suggested at least 2 minutes)."
