Change price of whole category by percent

Hi,

I am setting up a store for a client who has a Canadian site and a US site.

The only difference in the sites is the shipping options and the prices of one of the categories.

Is it possible to change the price of all the products in this category by a fixed amount all at once or do I need to go in and change every price individually?

Hi Esther,
You may be able to take advantage of the benefits of SaleMaker that comes with a standard Zen Cart.

There may be some coding to remove the 'Sale' text but it looks to be the quickest way to change the price of a whole category.

Give it some thought...

If it's a one time thing, then could do a sql command that would take advantage of the category information as part of the where statement. Or, could use something like easy populate to export the original data, change the prices then upload to the second database.

That will address the issue if the product(s) in question all have the same master category. I thought that I had seen something similar for products that might have been linked to a given category, although I guess itis up to the OP as to whether they need more done than just effect the product(s) in a master category.
