Default Unable to view my site

    Hi
Over the last couple of years my site has been pretty much trouble free
A couple of days ago I could not view the site: www.lanciabetaparts.co.uk

I just see a blanc page, also when I try to bring up my login page I see a list of these errors:

Deprecated: Function ereg() is deprecated in /data01/betaboyz/public_html/cart/includes/classes/db/mysql/query_factory.php on line 177

Deprecated: Function ereg() is deprecated in /data01/betaboyz/public_html/cart/includes/classes/db/mysql/query_factory.php on line 412

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare date_diff() in /data01/betaboyz/public_html/cart/1978talbotsunbeam/includes/functions/general.php on line 3001

I'm not sure which version I am running, as I have never updated it

Any help would be much appricated

    Regards
    Tony

If your cart uses ereg() in its code it is probably zc 138 or earlier. The reason you are axperiencing white page could be because your host has upgraded the php version to php 5.3 or higher.
There is a patch for zc 1.38 to make it work on php 5.3, although it is really recommended to upgrade your zc version to at least 1.39h or preferably to 1.51

    Thank you for your reply

Just checked which php version my server is using, it says 5.5.35-cll

I guess that means I need to upgrade my ZC, and a patch won't get it running

    Regards
    Tony

You are spot on: you need to upgrade to the latest ZC version.

However, if you are running cPanel you may be able to select an older PHP version as a temporary measure. If you have that option then set that PHP version to 5.3 and apply the patch.

This is only temporary to keep you in business whilst you are upgrading your site in a separate folder - or better on your local HDD (same as doing the upgrade in a separate folder on the server).

Once you are done with your upgrade you can switch back to PHP 5.5.35 on the live site.

    Cheers / Frank

    Thanks Frank

I've sent my host a email asking if they can change it back to 5.3 (option not available in my C panel)
Hopefully this will give me some time to get my head round upgrading the site.

    Thanks
    Tony

Ive installed the patch for 5.3 and I can now see my site :)
The only page I cant see is my admin login page, which is a shame as Id like to put the cart in maintenance mode.

Hopefully this will come back if my server can change my PHP version back to 5.3

Does anyone know of a anther way to get into the admin page??

    thanks again
    Cheers

You can use phpmyadmin to edit your database directly, to set it in maintenance mode

Thanks for that, I watched a quick YouTube tutorial and to be honest it looked a little complicated (probably me being thick)
I'll wait and see if the admin page shows up if my server can change my php version
Thought it a little strange that the rest of the site is functioning correctly, yet the admin page is blanc?

    Thanks
    Tony

Had a email back from my host today, they are running PHP 5.4
They said they cannot change my version back

which is a little annoying, If spent a couple of hours going through my site and everything appears to be working correctly
Apart from the fact I cannot access my admin log on page, which is a pain

Does anyone know a way I can to my get my admin page to show, its just showing a blanc page
This would give me time to start work on the update

Any help would be much appreciated and I'd be more than happy to make a donnation , It would be a shame if I had to take the site down, as its starting to get busy

    Thanks
    Tony
