Thank you for the reply. I've looked at the SQL logic for the uninstall and compared that to a dump of the database. I'm wondering if there are other database entries that have to be removed. Please advise. Thank you!

Not sure why you would think so, but the uninstall script will reverse the entries from this module.. You will then of course have to reverse any file changes..

Why not just do a restore of the site from the time prior to installing this module?? You did make a backup JUST before installing the right????

I'm having trouble installing WP thru my cPanel using Softaculous. It keeps giving me a error "The database already exists. Please choose a different name."

Do I need to install WP in a different way ?

WordPress installation questions need to need to be posted on the WordPress forums (http://wordpress.org/support/). Softaculous install errors should be directed to your webhost.

This thread is for the support of a ZEN CART module called WordPress® for Zen Cart® (wp4zen).

The only thing I can and WILL say about installing WordPress here is this: DON'T USE SOFTACULOUS.

Once you have WordPress all setup and install WordPress® for Zen Cart® (wp4zen), do come back here if you run into difficulties installing WordPress® for Zen Cart® (wp4zen)..

Thanks for the advise, you could have just told me to download WP and manually install it.

The other question I have is which config file needs to be edited. There are several in the wp4zen and am not sure if it needs to go into one of those or the wpconfig file. The directions in the readme are not very clear as is the syntex to use.

login to your Zen Cart admin.. go to the following menu path:
Configuration->
WordPress for Zen Cart (wp4zen)->
WordPress Blog Path

I noticed on your website that you have a plugin for wp also. What is the main difference? Is that if wp is the main site and you want to add zencart?

In my case zencart is in my root and has been running for a while. Is there any advantage as to which one to use ?

OK, I finally have everything installed. The problem I have now is the side boxes are not showing up. Yes I turned them on in the layout box controller trying to get them to show up on the left or right and different sort orders with no luck.

I'm using ZenCart 1.5.1 with the dragon template.

If you skip step #3 of the install/configuration instructions (which instructs you to add the path to your blog) or enter the wrong path to your blog, then the there will be issues with the sideboxes showing up.

It's a WordPress plugin, and details/differences are pretty well outlined in the description.. Because it's a WordPress plugin, I cannot answer too many questions here on the Zen Cart forum as the admins will not allow me to have lengthy discussions regarding a plugin for WordPress on the Zen Cart forum.
